Global Residence Programme

The Global Residence Programme is available to non-EU foreigners. Through such programme, a flat rate of 15% is applicable on foreign income remitted to Malta, with a minimum tax of €15,000 applicable, payable in advance. Holders are also able to work or set up business in Malta and any income derived is taxed at a flat rate of 35%.

In order to qualify for the Global Residence Programme, one needs to purchase a property of €220,000 or over if the property Alternatively one may rent out for total annual value is of €8,750 and over.

Applicants of the Global Residence Programme have no minimum stay requirements. However they may not spend more than 183 days in any other jurisdiction. A health insurance cover is required.
